Many thanks to the multitude of players I have had the pleasure of wandering the lands of Dungeons and Dragons with over the years. Their influence on the playing sessions directly and/or indirectly contributed to the development of this world. There are too many people to name every one, but I can name a few that my feeble mind can recall. I am sure some special effects magazine (Fangora maybe?) advertisement introduced me to (B)D&D. I got all of my early D&D material from Sears (I was so excited to see D&D products in the Sears Christmas Catalog!) and/or a small (long gone) hobby shop in Lewisburg (The Princess gift shop or something maybe?) provided my first boxed set (I remember getting miniatures in a small hobby shop in White Sulfur Springs). But as for people, I have to start by mentioning Jerry Mullins who introduced me to AD&D (bye, bye box set!) back in the day. Jerry's influence was brief (I don't think he played more than a month or two), but it showed me other people were interested in the game.
The "Old School" players, First and Foremost is Shawn Spencer (Joseph the Paladin), then in semi-chronological order or importance, Scott Yates (Anthony the Ranger), Jeff Loudermilk (Cleric), Becky Tipton, The pastor (whose name I've long forgotten) that told me they played AD&D in seminary, and made me feel comfortable about playing D&D in the "Pitchfork and Torch" era. The Vandalia (Huntington?, WV) Role Playing Guild, The Greenbrier East Study Hall Crew (A group I ran in high school), Curtis Mason, Athena Mason, Marie Coffman, Michelle Coffman, Tim Sayers, Wade Sayers, P.J. Sproles, Angela Spencer, Edgar Toth, Joe Brown (my first murder-hobo, followed closely by my second, a hobby shop owner whose name eludes me), Josh Brown, Kimberly Curry, Dirk McComsey, Norma Brown, The Greenbrier Valley Theater Crew (a small group of thespians I ran a game for), The County Library Crew (20 or so people for whom I ran a city sponsored game at the Greenbrier County Library in Lewisburg WV). I know there are many others I should remember, but it is a fault of my faculties, not my gratitude to them, that I cannot recall their names.
The "New School" players, Cyrus Cox, Atticus Mason, David, Racheal, Ryleigh, Alicia, Kenya, Tanner, Nick, Hayden, Rishi, Travis, Bryan, Cameron, Chase, Maverick, and hopefully many, many more.
Thanks for the great times everyone!
